My writing goals for term 2

IALT: improve my writhing by learning how to ;

* organise my writing into paragraphs
* use a variety of sentence starters
* use the correct language features of a narrative dialogue 

use a variety of sentence starters 

To help me with this goal that i am using a 'Sentence starter menu'

It will help my writing to be more interesting and to hook the reader in more.

What?
We did swimming with Leaane who is a Swim NZ instructor.

So what?
A couple of days ago we went swimming with a professional swimmer she didn't come inside the pool she just taught us.

She taught me that if you at the beach in the water, if the water carries you away you should stay on your back so you won't drown.

Now what?
I am now going to practice the things that Leeane taught me so that I am safe.

visit to harold

on Tuesday we went to visit harold the giraffe  

so what?

it was a lot of fun they can change the room into diffrent colours.
we learnt about health they said if you don't have love you are not
healthy.

now what?

we are going to be going to the bus again to learn some more about health and Harold said we can do sing with him in the next session

On Tuesday Mrs Boston came in and did some art.


So what?

We did the sun art of from a Maori myth it was alot of fun

this is the book i am currently reading as part of reading goal which id to be able to read for longer periods of time and retain meaning.

So what?

i liked the part when the ship was starting to go into the water.

Now what?

my goal is also to read a variety of genre. This book is historical. the next genre i'm going to read is mystery.

multi cultural day

Multi cultural day

What?

last week Oaklands School had a multi cultural day to celebrate the amazing cultures of Oaklands School.

So what?

We had to paint our flag my flag was Pakistan yo were allowed to do it with a buddy or do it alone i did it with Sadiyah.

Now what?

We are going to be learning more about the different cultures in room 24 this term including healthy snacks.
